The University of Nebraska is a key driver of the state’s economy through employment, research, workforce development, and alumni contributions. Highlights from the study include:
- $6.4 billion annual economic impact
- 1 in 20 Nebraska jobs linked to the university
- $10 return for every $1 of state investment
Paul Umbach, founder and president of Tripp Umbach, will share details from the report, including specific impacts of each of the university’s campuses. Hudl chief technology officer, co-founder and University of Nebraska graduate Brian Kaiser, along with Hudl software engineer and fellow University of Nebraska graduate Sierra Futterman, will also speak at the event.
Hudl, a company founded by UNL alumni, exemplifies the university’s role in fostering innovation and retaining top talent in Nebraska.
